You know, I KNEW you would be the first one to join us. LOL

I am totally convinced that opportunities exist for content professionals like us to become service designers and content choreographers, helping develop the web apps of the future. I hope we are able to drag some others in our space along with us for the ride. I see the possibilities as endless and worth far more than commodity writing.

Anyway, glad to see you here. Let's see if we can get some folks from DOPPLR to become guest members and help others understand. Got any connections you can invite?

I'm trying not to travel too, too much since I have young kids at home, but I do like Dopplr. One of their web developers said at a panel at SXSWi (paraphrased) "we like to think of Dopplr as a personality, and we ask ourselves, is this what Dopplr would do, and is this the voice it would use?" I'm convinced it's an excellent example of where web design apps are going in the future. That and chorewars.com. :)

It just makes sense to have web apps that work well with real life living. I'm also hooked on nikeplus.com that lets you track running mileage and map out your local runs on a Google map and find others who are running similar loops.

Best Practices of Global Production Information

Now, more than ever, organizations need to effectively communicate global product information if they are to operate successfully on the world stage. Traditionally, though, organizations have faced a fragmented landscape of technology solutions that are bolted together, but don’t work together. Organizations have had to integrate these technologies themselves and cope with the resulting overhead.
It doesn’t have to be like this. Read our new whitepaper, Best Practices of Global Product Information to find out how you can streamline and enhance the processes you use of communicate global product information.

Content Management – A blessing and a curse or how I became overhead…
