Scott's suggestion sounds great. A forum on Open Office sounds really interesting. Since I am a great fan of FOSS generally and OO specifically, I'd be among the first to join your OO group if you start one.

Prashant:

Have you considered creating an Open Office group where folks who have similar interests can discuss the issues? Just a suggestion.

Thanks for your participation. I look forward to interacting with you and the many new members we're attracting.

Yeah, I tend to take the first initiative to initiate a dialog. Generally lazy a**es need to be moved. Don't you think so? Just kidding!

Sure..will do. Meanwhile I have few comments on openoffice.Org authoring. I have been a regular user of MS Word. But, I have used it for last two months as I was working on Ubuntu PC. Initially it looked fine..but when I started working with files, it played its real havoc. I can't apply the style with the same comfort as I can in MS Word. Also, the doc lost its formatting when I saved the doc in ".doc" format; reason is obvious. I learnt a lesson and now am using XP PC with MS Word 2007.
Just want to confirm if others have this problem with openoffice..if they have used that.
