Job Title:
Technical Writer / Documentation Engineer / Information Architect
Company Name:
Impress Software
About Me:
I'm a technical writer working at a company that develops integration software for eight years now. Before working in the software industry I've studied technical writing at the Universitiy of Applied Sciences of Hannover. My favourite tool is Adobe FrameMaker which I'm using on a daily basis for about ten years, and currently I'm in the process of implementing a FrameMaker and DITA based workflow. In parallel to my job I'm studying computer engineering at the Universitiy of Applied Sciences in Mittweida to become more familiar with electronics, microprocessor programming, and many other useful stuff... ;O)

Hmm, with that much response I'm seriously thinking of getting such a tattoo. At least it can't be more painful than the DITA thing...

Implementing an FM and DITA based workflow? Ooh, that can be painful. Is that the reason for the tattoo?

All technical writers should tattoo FM on their foreheads as a matter of principle. No other desktop publishing tool (or, word processor, especially the one that shall go nameless) come close to producing quality documentation in technical communication. FrameMaker Rules! Bravo to FrameMaker, Marcus Baake, and of course... Photoshop! :)
