Hello Deanne,
I am glad to meet another technical writer like yourself online. I can relate. While serving in the US Coast Guard, I used to write Dept of Transportation technical manuals in regards to waterfront transport inspections processes for freight ships and warehouse locations. Some of the companies we inspected included Delmonte,Shell,Exxon,West Vaco,US Naval bases,State Port Authorities etc.... I enjoyed writing manuals to simplify learning and job check-off procedures.
