Job Title:
Instructional Developer - Online Help
Company Name:
Dynamics Research Corporation (DRC)
About Me:
I've been tech writing a number of years and following, with increasing interest, the content management movement. At prior companies, I've promoted the need for consistent structure of product and service information, without getting heavily involved in actual CMS processes.

My current employer has been probing into content management for a while, and now they want me to explore and help develop solutions for their content delivery needs. I am here to discover, learn, and help.

Aside from the corporate work, I run a sawmill part-time to cut cherry, walnut, oak, and others. I use the wood for a house I'm building. My family helps with the sawmill work and we enjoy the grain patterns and colors in different species.

Hey there,
Thanks for the BBQ info. I am tempted to start a BBQ group here just because so many of my friends are fanatics. BBQML.....hmmmm. And thanks for the trail tips too. It is interesting about your sawmill. My grandfather moved from Chunky, MISS to run a sawmill here in Florida. I did not know my grandfather, but I also appreciate fine wood grain. Mostly from a refinishing point of view. I should be at DocTrain in Vancouver and the STC conference in Philly. Maybe we can chat there.

Wonderful - looking forward to meeting you. Please do come up and say hi. As an introvert (really, I am) I sometimes get a little discombobulated and forget to look for people I want to say hello to.

Welcome to The Content Wrangler Community! I'm glad to see you joined us and hope you find this community a great place to locate and share information among peers. As the network grows, so too will the services offered. So, keep an eye out for new ways to interact with each other. And, if you need help, just ask. We'll do our best to assist.

P.S. Please consider adding a photograph of yourself (or an icon people can use to recognize you). Research shows social network participation increases between individuals who have photos in their profiles.

P.S.S. As you are the 1000th member to The Content Wrangler Community, I would like to give you a free ticket to the Documentation and Training Conference, May 6-9, 2008 in Vancouver ($999 value). But, I'd like it if you uploaded a photo first, so I can write a little blurb about your being the 1000th member and include you photo.

Please advise.

Thanks!
