Hey Bradley! Sorry it has taken me ages to get back to you. It's just one of those things that happens when you're away on a biz trip, then you get the flu, then you're swamped with pending tasks forever...

I'm not actually managing people, I am just managing single sourcing :-) Our roles - which do not equal to official titles - are fairly standard and what you see in tech comms or single sourcing literarure. So we have roles like project managers, writers, editors, information designers...

I am working in a team that produces end user content, such as user manuals and helps in the SW. We have been developing our content management system for some years, and continued deployment through various organisation changes and what not that always happen in a big company. Our team is not involved with the more technical documentation.

Thank you for the information! I am not quite sure why I thought you were in Texas, but I must say, today's high of 82 sounds much better than what you're experiencing. Good luck with your local STC chapter and I am sure you'll get your DITA chapter somewhere down the line. Maybe an STC sub-committee? Keep warm, Bradley!

Hey Bradley. Do you have a favorite book or reference where I could learn more about DITA XML? I am in front of the computer so much already that it would be great to find a source of information that DOESN'T involve me staring at a monitor. Also, are you a member of the central Texas DITA group? I am trying to find out when they're having the next meeting...

Well, it depends on the course. some courses are a mixture of XML and original/revised content. Other courses have no XML sourcing. This all depends on the development process for the course, the 'popularity' of the course and the general number of revisions to each product.
