About Me:: I am a graduate of the Humber College Technical Writing Certificate program. I have been writing professionally since 2004, preparing and editing end-user documentation for a Canadian IT consulting firm. Since beginning my career, I have developed passions for Plain English, copyediting, international documentation standards, single sourcing, and usability issues.

I am currently the Recognitions Manager for the Society for Technical Communications, Toronto Chapter and a Canadian Delegate to ISO/IEC JTC1 SC7 WG2, an organization that develops international documentation standards.

The Global English Style Guide

Over at Global Talk I read about The Global English Style Guide: Writing Clear, Translatable Documentation for a Global Market, by ITC SIG member John R. Kohl. My propeller started spinning so quickly it could have easily lifted me off the ground if I had not controlled myself. I'm ordering the book now and will provide my personal review of it at a later date.
