You told me to stay in touch, didn't you? :P

Next week I'm in New England for Ektron developer training. I'd like to compare notes with you after that. I've also got my sights set on eZ. I'd like to know your thoughts on that too.

Hi Deane,
If your customers are balking at the cost of the authoring tools, they probably shouldn't bother with implementing DITA, as the configuration and conversion effort is FAR higher than the cost of the tools. That said, they might take a look at Syntext Serna. There are a host of less-expensive tools at around $250 per seat, Serna is one.

i wish we had found you last year, our site might be working by now. unfortunately all those cool ideas are working for ektron but not us considering all those cool ideas were mine and my partner Ericas. Very disappointing but very enlightning on how software companies work with third party
vendors and how the third party vendors work with clients.
it has been 15 months hundreds of thousands of dollars and two platnium partners of ektrons and we still dont have a working site. Believe it or not we are not we are now working with ektron to get ported over to the 7.5 software which seems crazy to me since we created this in the first place. In your opinion, do you think a client should be told when they are a prototype partner?
