About Me:
I am, by training, a psychologist with a specialization in designing products, solutions, and services so that they will be easy for people to use. My substantial and unique contributions to the field have been recognized by my title as a Fellow in the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES). I was the first chair of the now highly successful National Ergonomics Month (NEM). My performance in founding NEM was recognized with the Oliver Keith Hansen Outreach Award from HFES.

I am also an outstanding educator and leader of educators. My current job in IBM includes managing technical learning and new employee orientation world wide. I also manage IBM's external employee education program in the United States and career coaching in North Carolina. Two of my learning programs, one which I manage today (new employee orientation) and one which I designed (Blue Opportunities) have won major awards from professional organizations (ASTD Excellence in Practice Award and SHRM Innovative Business Solution Award) recently.

My avocation includes presentations to professional societies, colleges, universities, and schools on Careers, Leadership, and Human Factors/Ergonomics. My presentations are educational, informative, interactive, and fun. One of these presentations is Games To Explain Human Factors: Come, Participate, Learn and Have Fun!!!
