Hi Paul,
Let's say I'm semi-retired. Not currently working. Taking care of some health issues before I actively start looking again.
That picture is from the 2007 STC France Conference and Author-it generously donated the lanyards, as they did for the R2 conference in 2006. I didn't make it to this year's conference, but I did take part in the organization of it, as usual, and Author-it again sent us the lanyards and their local guy gave us some sponsorship. I'm really sorry I'm not going to Philly - -that's my home town. There's a really good sticky-bun stand in the Reading Terminal market near the convention center. It's run by some Amish folks - or at least it used to be. Stuart and Jen are going to the Philly conf. so maybe you'll meet up with them, there.
You're an Author-it guy, yourself, aren't you? I asked a question last year and was told to wait ("it's coming") and am curious: Author-it outputs to Word. Does it also output to Open Offfice? I don't have Word.
Best,
Ellen

Best Practices of Global Production Information

Now, more than ever, organizations need to effectively communicate global product information if they are to operate successfully on the world stage. Traditionally, though, organizations have faced a fragmented landscape of technology solutions that are bolted together, but don’t work together. Organizations have had to integrate these technologies themselves and cope with the resulting overhead.
It doesn’t have to be like this. Read our new whitepaper, Best Practices of Global Product Information to find out how you can streamline and enhance the processes you use of communicate global product information.
