Thanks for the kind words. The follow-up to the accounting column is going to be delayed a bit. That column - cost-justification techniques for technical communicators - has taken on something of a life of its own. But the more I look at changes in the industry, the more I think that topics like that - the business side of things - is just as important as the technical side. If we can't justify our existence within our companies, all the cool technology won't save our jobs.
And, of course, there's a huge cost-justification component to single sourcing - one of your interests. The fact that the big consulting companies like Bain have not only stepped into the arena of single sourcing but have even attempted to alter its direction with "multi-channel publishing" says something about that.
This profession is definitely going in some unexpected directions, which is what makes it so interesting...
Cheers,
Neil
Sorry to not remember you, although I'm pretty sure I would if I saw a photo. My memory for names got overloaded years ago, but I'm very good with faces.
Are there any particular topics that I've touched on that you've found more interesting?
Regards,
Neil
BTW- cool page...

Thanks for the invitation. Have we met? (Forgive me for asking...)
Regards,
Neil
